How Much Does SEO Cost in Bangladesh? Monthly Price Ranges Explained

SEO cost in Bangladesh starts at about ৳15,000 per month for a very small scope and reaches ৳2,00,000 or more for large sites. Most small businesses should plan for ৳30,000 to ৳50,000. Large e-commerce stores and export-facing sites pay ৳1,50,000 or more, because they compete for harder searches and need more work.

Two agencies can sell "SEO" in the same week, one at ৳5,000 and one at ৳1,00,000. Both prices are honest. The work behind them is not the same.

This blog shows what each price band buys, how many expert hours your money funds, and which costs sit outside the quote.

It also explains VAT, decodes local package sheets, and helps you set a budget that fits your profit. SEOviser, a leading SEO agency in Bangladesh, shares its own price list at the end.

SEO Cost in Bangladesh at a Glance

The monthly SEO cost in Bangladesh falls into five tiers, and the SEO service price in Bangladesh follows the tier. The tier depends on how hard your search results are, not on how big your company is.

The table shows each tier in BDT and USD, who it fits, and the least work you should expect to see.

Tier Monthly BDT Approx. USD Who it fits Minimum deliverables to expect
Entry ৳15,000 to ৳30,000 $121 to $243 One-location shops on a tight budget, usually served by a freelancer Fixes on a short list of core pages, Business Profile upkeep, a monthly Search Console report
Small business ৳30,000 to ৳50,000 $243 to $404 Clinics, salons, coaching centres, small online shops Technical fixes on core pages, about 2 articles a month, local listings upkeep, a monthly report
Growth ৳50,000 to ৳90,000 $404 to $728 Growing firms, multi-service brands, national targets About 5 articles a month, a keyword and page plan, link outreach to named sites, a monthly review call
Competitive ৳90,000 to ৳1,50,000 $728 to $1,213 E-commerce stores, hospitals, real estate developers About 8 articles a month, category and product page work, schema, senior-led strategy
Large and international ৳1,50,000 and above $1,213 and above Big catalogs, exporters, multi-country brands 12 or more articles a month, a multi-market site plan, a dedicated project manager

The ranges come from SEOviser's own pricing and the public price pages in our sample. Many freelancers in Bangladesh put the practical minimum for ongoing professional work at about ৳15,000, and small-business retainers at ৳15,000 to ৳40,000. Some puts starter agency plans at ৳20,000 to ৳40,000. Some puts growth work at ৳35,000 to ৳60,000 and advanced work at ৳60,000 to ৳1,20,000. Some places premium agency campaigns at ৳1,50,000 to ৳3,00,000.

Some pages list packages at ৳5,000 to ৳10,000. Those prices cover a few hours of upkeep, not a full campaign, and the hours math below shows why.

The SEO freelancer rate in Bangladesh is lower. Freelancer puts the practical minimum for ongoing professional work at about ৳15,000 a month, and senior freelancers and consultants at ৳25,000 to ৳80,000 or more. Below about ৳15,000, you are buying a few hours of upkeep, not a full campaign.

Why "the Same SEO" Costs ৳5,000 at One Place and ৳1,00,000 at Another

SEO is not one product. The search results you compete in decide how much work you need, and that work decides the price. That is why one answer to how much does SEO cost in Bangladesh never fits every business.

Here are three businesses that all say "we need SEO."

  • A Rangpur clinic going for local searches. People search for a dental clinic in Rangpur, and only a handful of clinics fight for that spot. The clinic needs a clean site, a strong Business Profile and a few local pages. This is Entry or Small business work.
  • A Dhaka e-commerce store with thousands of "price in BD" product pages. Every product page competes against Daraz and brand sites for a "price in BD" search. Each page needs its own text, schema and stock handling. This is Competitive work, and it grows with the catalog.
  • A garment exporter competing for buyers in the EU. Buyers search in English and compare you with suppliers from other countries. The site needs proof pages, certification content and flawless English. This is Large and international work, priced against the global results, not the local ones.

What Your Money Actually Buys: Hours, Not Keywords

Your fee buys hours of skilled work, after the provider pays for tools. Most price pages show a percentage split of the budget. The math below shows the actual hours.

Here are the inputs. These are working assumptions, so swap in the numbers from your own quote.

  • Tools. Ahrefs Lite costs $129 a month on Ahrefs' pricing page, which is about ৳15,955 at ৳123.68. Check the current price before you buy. A provider usually shares one seat across clients. If one seat serves five clients, each client's share is about ৳3,200, so the table uses ৳3,000.
  • Specialist time. We use ৳1,700 an hour, which is the low end of the ৳1,700 to ৳6,000 hourly range. A remote SEO specialist in Bangladesh earns a median base salary of $7,872 a year, according to Plane's salary data. That is about ৳81,000 a month, or roughly ৳500 for each hour in a 160-hour month, before tax, tools and idle time.
  • Writer cost. We use ৳1,500 per 1,000 words, the low end of the ৳1,500 to ৳6,000 range from the same source.
  • Account management. We use 10% of the fee for calls, reports and planning.
Monthly budget Tools share Account management (10%) Content (1,000-word articles at ৳1,500) Left for expert hours Expert hours at ৳1,700
৳15,000 ৳3,000 ৳1,500 1 article, ৳1,500 ৳9,000 About 5 hours
৳30,000 ৳3,000 ৳3,000 2 articles, ৳3,000 ৳21,000 About 12 hours
৳60,000 ৳3,000 ৳6,000 4 articles, ৳6,000 ৳45,000 About 26 hours

At ৳15,000, you get about five expert hours a month. That is enough to maintain a small site, not to rebuild one. At ৳60,000, you get about 26 hours, which is roughly one day a week from a specialist.

This math explains the price floor. Tools are billed in dollars and cost the same in Dhaka as in London. Local salaries are lower, but the tool bill is not.

Monthly Retainer vs One-Time Project vs Hourly Consulting

Each pricing model fits a different problem. A retainer suits ongoing growth, a project suits a clear fix, and hourly consulting suits a second opinion.

  • Monthly retainer. You pay every month for steady work such as content, links and monitoring. Freelancer lists ৳15,000 to ৳1,50,000 or more a month.
  • One-time project. You pay a fixed fee for a set result such as an audit or a migration.
  • Hourly consulting. You pay for expert time on calls and reviews. Freelancer lists ৳1,700 to ৳6,000 an hour.

The SEO audit cost in Bangladesh varies most, because a 20-page site and a 20,000-page store are very different jobs.

One-time service Market sample (BDT) SEOviser price list
Technical SEO audit ৳10,000 to ৳90,000 Quoted after a scoping call
Keyword and topic map ৳5,000 to ৳35,000 On request
Google Business Profile setup ৳5,000 to ৳20,000 On request
Site migration SEO ৳25,000 to ৳1,50,000 or more  On request
On-page SEO project ৳10,000 to ৳50,000 $50 for up to 3 pages (about ৳6,184), $100 for up to 6 pages (about ৳12,368), $150 for up to 10 pages (about ৳18,552)
Content per article ৳1,500 to ৳6,000 per 1,000 words $8 for a 500-word article (about ৳990), $12 for a 1,000-word review (about ৳1,484)

SEOviser runs its own website audit and solution service, and its on-page SEO and content writing services follow the price list above.

A one-time audit plus in-house fixes often beats a retainer. It works when you have a developer and a writer who can act on a priority list. You pay once for the diagnosis, your team does the work, and you re-check after three months.

A retainer makes more sense when nobody on your team has the time or the skill to carry out the fixes.

How to Read a Bangladeshi SEO Package Sheet

Many local price lists use the same line items, and some of them sound better than they are. A package sheet should tell you the work done, not just the activity count.

Use the table to sort each line into worth paying for, not worth paying for, or ask what it means.

Line item What it usually means Verdict
Web 2.0 links Posts on free blog platforms, made in bulk Not worth paying for
Social bookmarking Links on bookmark sites that few people use Not worth paying for
Profile backlinks Bulk accounts made only for a link Ask what it means
PDF and video sharing Files posted to sharing sites Ask what it means
Blog comments Links dropped in comment boxes Not worth paying for
Drip feeding Spreading links over time Ask what it means
Social signals Likes and shares, often bought Not worth paying for
"15 high DA backlinks" A fixed link count based on a third-party score Ask what it means
Keyword-count pricing A fee that grows with the number of keywords Ask what it means
"Lite / Medium / Heavy" tiers Unnamed levels of work Ask what it means
Technical fixes done on your site Real changes made to code, speed and structure Worth paying for
Business Profile optimization Setup, categories, photos and review handling Worth paying for

Profile links on real brand pages are normal, but hundreds of throwaway accounts are not. "DA" is a third-party score, not a Google score, so ask for the site names.

Every real plan rests on four foundations. The proposal should say how much of each you get every month.

Foundation What it covers
Technical SEO An audit first, then fixes for crawling, indexing, speed, and structured data
Keyword and page plan Each target search assigned to one page, on a roadmap you approve
Content and on-page work New pages and articles, plus better titles, headings, copy and internal links
Authority building Editorial links from relevant sites, with no link farms

A real deliverable looks different from a count of activities. It names what changes on your site and who does it.

  • Fixes actually implemented. The provider makes the change, not just a list of advice. Ask which fixes they will do and which your developer must do.
  • Number of pages optimized. The sheet gives a page count and names the pages. This is clearer than a keyword count.
  • Number of articles. The sheet gives the count, the word count and who writes each one. Ask whether a human editor reviews every article.
  • Editorial links with the target site named. You see the site before the link goes live. A good provider shares the full list every month.
  • Reports pulled from Search Console. The report uses your own Search Console data. You can check the numbers yourself. Our SEO proposal checklist shows how to test a scope line by line.

SEO Cost by Business Type in Bangladesh

Every industry has its own cost drivers. The tier below is a starting point, not a price list. Your search results decide the final number.

Local Service Businesses (Clinics, Salons, Coaching Centres)

Local SEO cost in Bangladesh is the lowest of all types, because you compete in a small area. Most local firms fit the Entry or Small business tier. A managed local campaign usually costs ৳30,000 to ৳50,000 a month, in line with SEOviser's Standard plan at ৳35,000. Freelancer-run local SEO can start near ৳15,000.

E-Commerce Stores

Ecommerce SEO cost in Bangladesh grows with the size of your catalog. Most stores fit the Competitive tier, at ৳50,000 to ৳2,00,000 or more a month.

  • What pushes the cost up. Thousands of "price in BD" product pages need unique text, schema and clean category paths. You also compete with Daraz, which already ranks for most product searches.
  • What pulls the cost down. A small catalog and a store with fast pages and tidy URLs need less cleanup. Focus the work on category pages first, since those win broad searches. See SEOviser's e-commerce SEO service.

Real Estate Developers

Real estate buyers search for months before they call. Developers usually fit the Growth or Competitive tier.

  • What pushes the cost up. Each project needs its own page, and each area needs its own content.

Hospitals and Diagnostic Centres

Health content is a "your money or your life" topic, so Google holds it to a higher standard. This adds review work to every page, which adds cost. These sites usually fit the Growth or Competitive tier.

  • What pushes the cost up. A doctor or specialist should review each medical page.

Schools, Universities, and Training Programs

Searches for admissions peak in a short window. These institutions usually fit the Small business or Growth tier. The key cost factor is timing.

  • What pushes the cost up. You must start months before the intake, since most price pages in our sample say results take three to six months.

Exporters and IT Firms Selling Abroad

You pay for the international results page, not the local one. These firms usually fit the Competitive or Large and international tier. Algomindz lists international SEO from a Bangladeshi provider at $300 to $1,500 or more a month.

  • What pushes the cost up. Buyers in the US, UK or EU search in English and compare you with global suppliers. You need proof pages, case studies and strong links from relevant sites.

Costs That Aren't in the SEO Fee

The SEO fee covers the SEO provider's work. It rarely covers the people and items around it. Plan for these before you sign.

Extra cost Why it adds up
Developer time to implement fixes Many providers advise, but your developer makes the change. Speed and code fixes can take many hours.
Writing in both Bangla and English A bilingual site needs two versions of each page. That roughly doubles the content work.
Product photography Product pages with real photos convert better than pages with supplier images.
Hosting or speed upgrades A slow server can cancel the gains from good content.
Signage and setup for Business Profile verification Local profiles may need a visible sign, a staffed address or a video check.
Your own team's time Approvals, expert input and photos from your team take hours each month.

Ask which items the provider will implement and which they will only recommend. That one question removes most surprise bills.

SEOviser's website speed optimization service covers the speed line.

VAT, Invoices, and Payment Terms

Ask your provider one thing before you sign. Does the quote include VAT? Then ask for a Mushak 6.3 invoice, which is the official VAT tax invoice for taxable supplies.

  • Standard rate. The standard VAT rate in Bangladesh is 15% for FY 2026 to 2027, according to Financfy's VAT guide.
  • Reduced rate. The same guide says some IT services in the local market, including some IT-enabled services (ITES), carry a reduced 5% rate. Ask your provider which rate applies to your invoice, and confirm it with your accountant.
  • Foreign agencies and USD tools. KPMG's summary of the Finance Bill 2026 says the importer must deposit VAT on imported services, and that the bank withholds it at payment. Read the KPMG summary and ask your accountant how it applies to your USD invoices.
  • Exchange-rate risk. A quote in dollars changes with the exchange rate. A ৳30,000 plan can become ৳31,500 if the dollar rises by 5%. Ask whether the provider fixes the BDT price for the contract term.

Payment norms vary, but a few are common.

  • Advance payment. Many providers bill the first month up front. Pay only against a written scope.
  • Minimum contract term. Many providers ask for three to six months, since results need time. Ask about the notice period and the exit terms.
  • Bank, bKash or card. A bank transfer leaves the clearest record for your books. bKash is quick, but confirm that the receiver can issue a proper invoice. Cards suit foreign providers, though your bank adds a conversion margin.

This is not tax advice. Rules and rates change, so confirm every VAT, ITES and import-VAT point with a qualified accountant before you pay.

How to Work Out Your Own SEO Budget

Do not start from what others pay. Start from what SEO can earn you, then check the size of the job. These two steps give you a budget you can defend.

Work Back From Profit

Your budget should come from the profit a new customer brings. Take the average profit per customer, multiply it by the customers SEO could realistically win in a month, and keep your spend below that number.

Suppose a clinic earns ৳2,000 in profit from each new patient. Suppose it spends ৳30,000 a month on SEO. It needs 15 new patients a month from SEO just to break even. It should check whether its search results can deliver that many patients before it signs.

Size the Gap From the SERP

The search results page shows how hard the job is. Search your top five keywords and look at the first page.

  • Who ranks. Count how many local sites, big brands and marketplaces appear. A page full of Daraz and large brands means a Competitive tier job.
  • How deep the pages are. Check how long and detailed the top pages are. If every top result has 2,000 words and you have 300, you need more content.
  • How many pages you lack. List the page types rivals have that you do not. Each missing page is a content cost.
  • How fast you need results. A short deadline needs a higher budget, since the provider must run more work at once.

Most SEO plans need six months or more to show clear results, so budget for at least six months, not one. A one-time audit first (৳10,000 to ৳50,000 in our sample) shows your starting point.

Match your gap to the tiers in the first table. A small gap points to the Entry or Small business tier, and a large one points to Competitive or above.

SEO vs Facebook Ads: How to Compare the Spend

Facebook ads and SEO both bring leads, but they charge you differently. Ads stop when you stop paying, while SEO work keeps ranking after the month ends.

To compare them fairly, count the full cost of each and divide by the leads each one brings.

What to compare SEO Facebook ads
Speed to first lead Often three to six months Days
After you stop paying Pages and links keep working for a time Leads stop at once
Cost per lead Falls over time Stays flat or rises with competition

Is Cheap SEO Ever Worth It?

Cheap SEO is worth it only when the scope is tiny and clear. A ৳5,000 package that promises audits, articles, backlinks and reports cannot cover its own costs. The math shows why.

Use the same assumptions as before. Take ৳5,000, remove ৳3,000 for the tool share and ৳500 for account management. That leaves ৳1,500, which is less than one expert hour at ৳1,700. The package must fill the gap with automated links or copied content.

Cheap work can be fine for a basic task. A ৳5,000 to ৳10,000 Business Profile setup is a fair example, since Some lists that range. It is not fine for a promise of rankings, a pile of directory links or a fixed number of backlinks. Our guide on affordable SEO services for small businesses covers how to spot the difference.

How Long Before SEO Pays for Itself

Most price pages in our sample say results take three to six months. Public Pulse Agency adds that local SEO can move in four to eight weeks and technical fixes in two to four weeks. Payback comes later than the first ranking gains, since leads must turn into sales. Plan your first checkpoint for weeks 8 to 12, and judge payback after month six.

Freelancer, Agency or In-House?

Each option trades cost for control. The table gives the monthly cost and the main risk of each one.

Option Typical monthly cost Best for Watch for
Freelancer About ৳15,000 and up for focused work, ৳25,000 to ৳80,000 or more for senior consultants Small sites and focused tasks One person covers every skill, and leave or illness stops the work
Agency ৳25,000 to ৳1,50,000 or more Sites that need content, technical and link work together Vague scope and a junior team behind a senior pitch
In-house About ৳81,000 base salary at the median, plus tools Large sites with steady work Hiring time, training and the cost of tools

Does AI Search Optimization Add to the Cost?

Sometimes it does, but not as much as sellers claim. Algomindz adds ৳10,000 to ৳15,000 a month for AI search work. Freelancer lists ৳10,000 to ৳30,000 a month for an AEO and GEO add-on.

A legitimate scope includes these tasks.

  • Question-led content. Pages answer full questions in plain language, which AI tools can quote. Our guide on keyword research for AI Overviews shows the method.
  • Clear entity and brand details. Your name, address, services and people appear the same way across your site and profiles.
  • Structured data. Schema marks up your business, products and FAQs.

Much of this is just good SEO under a new name. Pay extra only when the provider names the new tasks and the hours. Do not pay for any promise to rank in AI answers.

Questions to Ask Before You Accept a Quote

Good questions turn a vague quote into a clear scope. Ask every provider the same ten questions, then compare the answers side by side.

  1. Which tasks will you do each month, and how many of each?
  2. Which fixes will you implement, and which will you only recommend?
  3. Who writes the content, and does a human editor review it?
  4. Which sites will you build links on, and will you name them before they go live?
  5. How many hours does my account get each month?
  6. Who will work on my account, and how many other accounts do they handle?
  7. What will the monthly report show, and can I see my own Search Console data?
  8. Does the quote include VAT, and will you issue a Mushak 6.3 invoice?
  9. Is the price fixed in BDT, or does it change with the dollar?
  10. What are the minimum term, the notice period and the exit terms?

Send your site and your goals through the contact page. You will get a scope that lists the tasks, the hours, and the price in writing, or you can reach out for any custom plan.

Final Thoughts

SEO cost in Bangladesh depends on your search results, not on a standard price list. Most small businesses should plan for ৳30,000 to ৳50,000 a month. Count the hours behind the fee.

Ask what the provider will implement and what they will only recommend. Confirm VAT and the price currency before you sign

Frequently Asked Questions

How Much Does SEO Cost per Month in Bangladesh?

SEO costs ৳15,000 to ৳2,00,000 or more per month in Bangladesh. Most small businesses spend ৳30,000 to ৳50,000, and large sites pay more. Export-facing campaigns billed in dollars often start around $300 a month.

What Is the Minimum Realistic SEO Budget?

The minimum realistic budget is about ৳15,000 a month, and that buys a narrow scope from a freelancer. A full agency campaign starts nearer ৳30,000 to ৳35,000, and anything far below ৳15,000 is usually automated links or a very small task.

How Much Does Local SEO Cost in Bangladesh?

A managed local SEO campaign costs ৳30,000 to ৳50,000 a month in Bangladesh, and freelancer-run work can start near ৳15,000. Setting up a Google Business Profile is a one-time cost of ৳5,000 to ৳20,000.

How Much Does E-Commerce SEO Cost in Bangladesh?

E-commerce SEO costs ৳50,000 to ৳2,00,000 or more a month, and small catalogs sit at the low end. The price rises with catalog size. SEOviser's e-commerce plans run from $350 to $750 a month.

How Much Does an SEO Audit Cost?

Most audits cost ৳10,000 to ৳50,000, and large sites can reach ৳90,000. Site size is the biggest factor.

Why Is SEO Cheaper in Bangladesh Than in the US?

Local salaries and office costs are lower, so the same hours cost less. A remote SEO specialist in Bangladesh earns a median base salary of $7,872 a year, according to Plane's salary data. An Ahrefs survey of 439 SEOs, mostly in the US, Canada and India, found an average retainer near $2,917 a month.

Do SEO Agencies in Bangladesh Charge VAT?

Registered agencies charge VAT on taxable services. The standard rate is 15%, and some IT services qualify for a reduced 5% rate. Ask the agency which rate applies and request a Mushak 6.3 invoice. Confirm the details with your accountant.

Should I Pay per Keyword?

No, a keyword count is a poor way to pay for SEO. A keyword is a plan, not a result, and one page can cover many related keywords. Pay for named work such as fixed pages, articles and links to named sites.

Can I Pay Only After I See Results?

Pure pay-after-results deals are rare, because no honest provider can guarantee a ranking. Google controls the results. Some providers offer a base fee plus a bonus tied to a goal. Ask for clear milestones, a written scope and access to your own Search Console data instead.

What Happens if I Stop Paying for SEO?

Your pages and links stay in place, so rankings rarely drop overnight. Over the following months, rivals keep publishing, your content ages and new site errors go unfixed. Rankings then slide slowly, and the traffic that came from them slides with them.
